It's been a long time since any of us have written to this blog. I guess most people are like me, far too busy. This is my last week of teaching a discernment course at our church based on Paul's Discernment school. We have had quite a bit of fun, had many encounters with angels, a couple of demons, and with God. We seen Seraphim, Cherubim, had the air go "electric", met harvest angels, and a angel that simply made you feel "REALLY GOOOOOD" (I guess he was a joy angel...) I even had something that looked like a living creature show up in my living room to "unfold" revelation. It's been the time of my life.
God has really been revealing himself to us lately. Oh, speaking of God revealing... If you haven't read The Shack yet, what are you waiting for! GET IT NOW! It will change your view of God, His love for you, and who you are to Him. It will revolutionize your walk with God.
Anyways, on to the topic of this post. I was walking to work this morning (that is many times when God decides to reveal revelation to me. I have about a 5-10 minute walk to work, which just goes to show that God can reveal profound things to you in a short period of time, even when you are distracted by cars and icy sidewalks :-), and I realized something about healing and the love of God. This may not be new for most of you, and it wasn't new to me, but the impact of it was. It goes like this:
"Picture yourself as a father (I have to as I'm not married) and your 7 year old daughter has just been diagnosed with terminal cancer. You would be heart broken. You sit waiting for the doctor's final report and he comes in and says that he cannot cure her, but he can transfer the disease to you, she would be clean of the disease, but you would die. How long do you think it would take before you said 'Yes'? Probably not long. Jesus did that. He said 'Transfer it to me' and we walk away clean. That is true in regards to our sin. No one will argue that. But it is also true of our diseases. We walk away clean. So any time we see sickness in a Christian, it is a lie. The lie is not that they are sick, you would have to be daft to deny they are sick. The lie is that they have to be sick. You see, Jesus took our sickness, and died, and with him sickness died. What Jesus took to the cross didn't survive the process, only Jesus came back, pure and perfect. So anytime we see sickness in a Christian, we should react like we just say a pink elephant in a blue dress: With complete disbelief. Sickness is not reality for a Christian, Jesus is reality. If we see things from the perspective of Jesus, sickness no longer exists ('There is no sickness in heaven') and we should enforce the heavenly reality of healing."
